Pre-sales Business Analyst
Telogis is a leading provider in field force automation and telematics solution. Telogis customers manage and deploy the largest field forces in the United Stated.
This role is primarily to support the account managers selling Telogis Route – a SAAS tool for planning the daily, weekly and monthly schedules of mobile workers and vehicles. While the product is a software product, the successful candidate will be more focused on analyzing a company’s business processes and focus in on ways to improve product or service delivery. The candidate will need to become an expert in the Telogis Route product as well as regularly use Microsoft Excel to manipulate and import customer data. The candidate will be able to import the data to the Telogis Route product, analyze the results and make a strong business case for the Return on Investment (ROI) of the product. The Business Analyst will be instrumental in training end-users and assisting customers in change management.
The candidate should have strong presentation skills and should be able to manage a number of large opportunities simultaneously.
A high ethical standard and a diligent work ethic are a must.
Responsibilities
- Support routing account managers in sales efforts
- Assist in documenting business drivers, routing objectives and business “problem”
- High level documentation of current routing processes
- Articulate the benefits and features of Telogis Route – speaking/PowerPoint & demos
- Provide customer support during pilots/POCs Gather, review and transform customer data for upload into Telogis Route
- Assist in the upload of data in to a telogis only account and client demo account
- Test that the data and required functionality is working based on
- Provide training on Telogis Route Answer customer questions as they arise during the POC
- Gather baseline information for use in ROI analysis
- Complete ROI analysis at end of trial period
- Provide ongoing customer support for key accounts
- Where designated, provide first tier support to designated accounts
- Work in conjunction with the helpdesk towards timely resolution of tickets – use the appropriate Telogis helpdesk/trouble ticketing system
- Provide feedback to the product development and testing team of any observed bugs and feature requests
Attributes/Skills
- Undergraduate or graduate business degree
- 3 – 5 years experience as a business analyst in a high tech industry
- Very good client facing and presentation skills
- Self starter and highly motivated
- Fast learner
- Interested in the location services industry
- Knowledge of MSFT Office suite – especially PowerPoint & Excel
