Dave Cozzens
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Cozzens joined Telogis from Novell Corporation where he was most recently Vice President of Operations for Novell Americas, a $500 million business encompassing the US, Canada, and Latin America. Prior to this role, he held a number of senior executive positions at Novell including Area Vice President and General Manager for the Midwest and Federal businesses as well as the Vice-President of North America Consulting. Mr. Cozzens was also Vice President of Consulting at Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP) prior to that company’s acquisition by Novell. Previously, Mr. Cozzens had launched and led CTP’s Strategy Management Consulting practices in both the US and Europe.
Mr. Cozzens earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MBA in International Business from the Vienna School of Economics (Wirtschaftsuniversitat Wien)/University of South Carolina and attended the Masters Engineering degree program at Pennsylvania State University.
Tim Taylor
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Taylor has extensive experience in senior leadership positions with start-up and fast-growth companies on an international scale. As founder and CEO of Tycom Corporation (now Kyocera Tycom Corp.), CEO of Tycom Dental Inc. (now SybronEndo Corporation, a division of Sybron Dental Specialties), and CEO of Tulon Inc., Mr. Taylor has a track record of successful product development and company leadership in a variety of markets. Most recently, he has been a Director of Liquidmetal Saga Italy, a technology start-up company in the Veneto region of Italy aimed at the European luxury goods market.
Mr. Taylor earned a B.A. in Russian Language and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Ralph Mason
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Mason is the Chief Technology Officer and a Founder of Telogis. Mr. Mason has deep expertise in professional software development, comprehensive systems analysis and design experience. His broad experience also includes dataset real-time databases, networking, large-scale system deployment and data integrity validation. Key project experience includes the development and implementation of a data warehouse for the London International Financial Futures Exchange. He also held the position of senior project engineer with SPEDA in embedded systems development.
Mr. Mason is a Graduate of Business Computing, from Christchurch Technical College, 1993.
A. Newth Morris IV
President, Telogis GeoBase Group
Mr. Morris is the President of the Telogis GeoBase Group and a Founder of Telogis. He has experience in embedded systems design, customer engineering and support and enterprise sales. Mr. Morris’s past experience includes working for NRECA, a non-governmental organization, doing socio-economic studies of rural indigenous communities in Guatemala. His early training as technical liaison and customer support began with Electronic Design Associates (EDA, Costa Mesa) in product development (sister company to SPEDA). Additionally, his work experience includes systems design and project management.
He is currently on the board of Dixie Printing & Packaging in Glen Burnie, MD and has served on the boards of various community organizations.
Mr. Morris earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, 1996.
Jason Koch
President, Telogis Fleet Division
Mr. Koch is the President of the Telogis Fleet Division and a Founder of Telogis. He acquired his experience in production management, quality assurance, control and high reliability manufacturing systems in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Telogis, he worked at Texas Instruments and Motorola. His experience includes process controls, statistical analysis, and quality control. During his tenure at Motorola, he designed and implemented a computerized process control network to predict necessary maintenance before equipment failure.
Mr. Koch earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, 1996.
Susan Heystee
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Ms. Heystee is the Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales of Telogis. She joined Telogis from Novell, where she served as Vice President, General Manager, Global Strategic Alliances. Ms. Heystee also served as President of Novell Americas and Vice President and Area General Manager for the Midwest Area. Prior to joining Novell, Ms. Heystee was Vice President Global Channels at SSA Global. Ms. Heystee also served as Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales and Delivery at Baan, leading the worldwide sales and services business.
Ms. Heystee graduated with honors from the University of Waterloo, earning a degree in mathematics with business administration.
Ted Serentelos
Vice President of Strategy and Operations
Mr. Serentelos joined Telogis from Novell Corporation where he was most recently Director of the Identity and Security Management Business Unit. Prior to this role, he held a number of consulting roles as a principal with Novell Consulting, the strategy practice at Cambridge Technology Partners and as a manager with Cambridge Management Consulting. Previously, Mr. Serentelos gained extensive experience in various Supply Chain, Logistics and Trading roles with Amoco Corporation and British Petroleum.
Mr. Serentelos earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA with honors from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago in strategic and financial management.
Chris Belden
Vice President of Services
Mr. Belden brings Telogis deep and broad-ranging experience leading enterprise-class service organizations from his time at Novell, Cambridge Technology Partners and Ramos & Associates. Over the past 15 years, he has driven business strategy and process engineering, program / project management, enterprise systems implementation and integration, and customer training and support within Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. In addition, he has successfully advised early-stage companies in strategies and tactics to scale.
Mr. Belden earned a B.S. in Speech Communications and B.S. in Psychology from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Colorado – Denver in organization and information management.
Kyle Messman
Vice President, Corporate Development
Mr. Messman is Vice President of Corporate Development for Telogis where he focuses on finance, financial planning, strategy and strategic acquisition opportunities. Prior to joining Telogis, Mr. Messman worked in the corporate financial planning group at a major semiconductor manufacturer where his responsibilities included SEC and financial reporting, capital transactions, and financial planning and analysis. Prior to this, Mr. Messman spent several years as an investment banker with the Global Technology Investment Banking division of Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup). At Cappello Capital he focused on mergers and financings in the technology services, software and entertainment sectors and worked with clients on a wide variety of corporate finance and capital markets transactions. Previously, he worked in venture capital focusing on infrastructure software and service investments.
Mr. Messman earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
