What hardware goes in the vehicle?

The Telogis GPS vehicle tracking system starts with the GPS tracking hardware unit that is installed into each vehicle. This tracking unit collects GPS information from satellites and the GPS vehicle tracking system transmits the data back to the Telogis control center where the data is translated into vehicle tracking or fleet management information.

More than just a GPS vehicle tracking system, the hardware has interfaces for sensors (such as doors or power units). Additional data ports on the GSM/GPRS and CDMA units allow for customized functionality including sophisticated in-vehicle computing and telematics applications.
