Do you have Telus Security Service?

The Telus Security Service product that comes with their ADSL packages has a browser helper object called "Popkill" that embeds itself in the browser. This is why turning the Telus Security Service off and on has no effect. Disabling it should have no noticible effect in Internet Explorer as it filters popup windows in it's own.

To disable this, do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. From the menu, select Tools, then Internet Options.
3. Click on the Programs tab.
4. Click on the Manage Add-ons button.
5. Select the entry called Popkill Class from Zero Knowledge Systems.
6. Click on the Disable radio button in the settings area below.
7. Hit OK twice to close the windows.
8. Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
